Fresh gurnard fillets from South Australia ~ 300g (3-5 fillets).

Gurnard have firm flesh that holds together well when cooking. They can be grilled or fried, however they have a very low oil content and the flesh can dry out. Gurnard can also be added to a soup or stew and makes for a cheaper alternative to flathead if you like traditional beer-battered fish. Gurnard fillets are very similar to flathead.

This fish is fresh so is suitable to freeze for later use.
